How do I calculate a percentage of a number?
Multiply the number by the percentage and divide by 100. For example, 18% of 250 is 250 × 18 ÷ 100 = 45.
How is percent increase calculated?
Subtract the old value from the new value, divide the difference by the old value and multiply by 100. Going from 200 to 250: (250 − 200) ÷ 200 × 100 = 25%.
How do I find what percent one number is of another?
Divide the part by the whole and multiply by 100. For example, 45 out of 250: 45 ÷ 250 × 100 = 18%.
